The Guarino Method of patternmaking taught by CIAM Australia was developed in
Italy during the 1950s by Gaetano Guarino.

Nowadays, carried on by his son Mario, The Guarino method uses a specially designed
and graded ruler to construct patterns such as tops, skirts, pants and sleeves. There is very little calculation required to achieve a perfect fit that is based on actual measurements.

The method is easy to learn, quick, efficient and effective!

Beginners who have never created a pattern can use the Guarino method in addition to experienced dressmakers and patternmakers.

Achieving a perfect fit the first time can save many hours of work.
