The Guarino Method of patternmaking taught by CIAM Australia, was developed in
Italy during the 1950s by Gaetano Guarino.

Nowadays, carried on by his son Mario, The Guarino method uses a specially designed
and graded ruler to construct patterns such as tops, skirts, pants and sleeves with very
little calculation required by the user to achieve a perfect fit.

The method is easy to learn, quick, efficient and effective!

The Guarino method can be used by beginners who have never created a pattern, through
to experienced dressmakers and patternmakers.

Achieving a perfect fit the first time can save many hours of work.
